All the participating teams will be divided into different divisions according to the level of play. This will be done by organizers by personally evaluating them.
Each Division will consists of 10 teams. Each team will play against other teams twice,
once at teams Home court and one at Opponents court. Every Home team will provide
Court and Shuttles for the play.
It will also be good if the Home team arranges for a snack or tea at their favourite place after the match so as to know and bond with visiting team.
Schedule of the matches will be provided by Organizers. Match will take place on every
alternate Sunday. The Season will last for 6 months.

• Teams are divided into 5 Divisions according to their level of play.
• Each Division to consists of 10 teams.
• All teams in division to play each other twice. Once at Team’s Home Venue and Once at
Opponents Team’s Venue.
• Home Team to ensure that they provide Court and Shuttles for the matches. Home team can
use shuttles (Feather or Plastic) which they use in their daily play. Please ensure New Shuttles
are provided.
• Each Match consists of 3 doubles games. Each Game best of 3 sets. 21 Point System to be
followed.
• Each Game should have different pairing of players. No player can play more than 1 Game.
• One (1) point will be awarded for each game won by the team. If any one team wins all 3
games, they will be awarded one (1) Bonus Point.

• Age limit of player for the league is set 25 years and above.
• Players can only represent one team. In case, if player is identified playing for multiple teams,
he/ she will be banned from playing further in the league. Team captains to ensure this.
• Player should play in proper sporting gear.

• Each Team will be supplied with hard copies and electronic copy of the scorecard.
• Both Home and Away Teams should carry Scorecard with them in every match.
• Before start of the match please fill in the forms with respective Team details which includes
Team Name and respective Player pairings for 3 Games.
• Please exchange the completed Scorecards with opponent team’s completed scorecards. This is
to ensure that pairings are not revealed or changed by looking at opponent team’s player
pairings.
• Fill in the remaining details once you receive Scorecards from Opponent team.
• Both the scorecards to be filled and signed by both team captains for every match.
• Hardcopies or electronic copies to be shared via Whatsapp, emails etc on same day by both the
teams. Team Captains Whatsapp group or at info@battlebadminton.in.

• The league is friendly and should be played with fairly and with right sportsman spirit. League
does not provide for umpires and linesman.
• Each match will have 2 teams consisting of 12 players. With 4 players playing at once other
players can mutually decide and can appoint umpires and linesman from within themselves.
• League stresses on matches being friendly and any disputed scoring and line decisions should
be resolved in a friendly and amicable way.

• Any type of Physical or verbal abuse is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.
• Teams and players engaged in any kind of aggressive behaviour to be reported to the league.
• Strict actions will be ensured for improper behaviour.
• Each team will be looked at throughout the season of the fairplay and aggressive behaviour.
• At any point league feels that the decorum and spirit of the league is not followed by certain
teams, actions will be taken.
• Venue contacts will be appointed for all venues where matches are being played. First point of
contact will be the Venue Contact person. If issue is not resolved, Teams may contact league.
• All the decisions taken by the league will be final and cannot be challenged.

• Teams to ensure that all their players know about the location of venue. Venue location can be
confirmed by contacting the Home team.
• Both Home and Away teams to reach venue atleast 30 mins before the start. Home team to
ensure that they do receive the Away team, since the Away team might not be familiar with the
venue or team they will be playing against.
• The matches should start at the prescribed timings. By arriving earlier, teams should ensure
that they are ready and warmed up before start of the play timings. This is to ensure that the
match finishes in prescribed time.
• All the venue rules should be stated by Home team to Away team to avoid any disputes.
• In case if the venue or team is not available for any reason, Teams to contact each other and
arrange another suitable time, mutually, to schedule the match. This should be done in span of
15 days from prescribed scheduled date and timings
• Away team to be informed atleast 24 hours before the match, in case venue is not available for
the Home Team.
• Also league to be informed of change in schedule and the rearranged schedule.
• If any of the teams is not present for prescribed Match at prescribed Venue, the opponent will
be awarded the match. As well the defaulter team will be charged penalty points. If this
behaviour continues, team may be banned from league.

• League standings will depend upon the number of points won from each match.
• As stated earlier, each winning game will ensure one (1) point for the team. Number of points
determine the Teams league standing.
• All the league data and statistics will be uploaded on weekly basis on League website,
www.battlebadminton.in
• All the winners in each division to get trophies and certificates.
• Top Teams will be promoted to upper division.
• Teams with least points in the division will be demoted to a division below.

• Aim of the League is to promote Badminton. Promote unity, sportsman spirit and better society
through this league.
• The league does provide competitive edge but please do remember that league is friendly.
• Teams and Players can post Videos and Photos of matches, photos of the social gatherings after
the match etc. Details will be provided for Facebook Page as well as they can be posted on our
website too.
• Bringing the Badminton community together and networking is one of the important aspect of
the league.
• Home teams should take the Visiting team for refreshments and bond over it. This will
strengthen your personal networks as well boost badminton community.

• If team does not have enough players they will have to play available matches and forfeit the
once which they cannot by 21-0.
• The above condition also holds true if any player is injured during the play.
• If any of the team is late and match is not able to complete in given time slot, opponent team
wins the remaining games.
• If a Team does not turn up for the event without prior informing opponent team, other team
will win the match 3-0.
• If there is disputed line call, replay the point.
• Call venue contact if you need any assistance. If not available call organizers.
• If the match is not able to complete with no teams’s fault, play the last game of 21 points single
set. 21 being the last point. No 2 point difference. Team which scores 21 first to be the winner.

Firstly, the joy of playing competitive Badminton, and setting up your place on
Badminton map of Vidarbha. At the end of the league there will trophies for all the clubs
winning in their Divisions. The top teams of each divisions will be promoted to upper division for more competition next year. With Top teams out of the division, remaining teams can compete to get their hands on the Title in next Season.
